St James' is a 12th century Norman church with 13th-century Early English details and presides over the Oxfordshire village of Nether Worton.

Later additions include the 14th century north arcade with its columns, while the present southwest tower was built in 1630. The tower incorporates a repositioned 13th-century doorway on the south side and contains two bells, the older of which was cast in 1601 and was last restored in 1883.

With such an ancient building you might expect to find a few issues as part of the quinquennial inspection.
